Welcome to the XFA SEAHAWKS web site.
Rice brought in to give leadership to young offense
Jerry Rice was aquired late sunday night in a deal that gave Seattle much more depth and talent and leadership. James Hasty was re-aquired to help out with cornerback. Jerry Rice will be the 3rd or 4th wide out battling it out with Snoop Minnis, but no matter what he is he will make this team better, and give some shore hands for Trent Green to throw to. Kyle Brady was delt only days after he arrived. "We were sad to see him go but he wasn't needed with the amazing play of Pollard and the development of the fastest TE Conwell." Mike Holgrem
Trent Green Shows his true talent in Seahawks Debut
Trent Green had an amazing performance as he completed 74% of his passes for 229 yards throwing 2 Tds. He wound up with a 148.8 qb rating. He didn't even really use all the Offensive weapons only throwing to Moss and Minnis one time each, but look for that to change in the futrue. Tony Richardson steped up as well gaining 65 yrds on the ground running one in for a TD, and gave some good blocks for Lamar Smith who ran for 83 yrds also one TD. Even though the sack unit, Kearse, Glover, and Armstrong combined for 0 sacks they put enough pressure on Rich Gannon to give him an embarrasing 11.7 qb rating.
